For over a decade, our company has been manufacturing paper clips using fiber paper ahead of other companies. Fiber paper, with its biodegradability that allows it to return to the soil, is environmentally friendly and has gained significant attention lately due to its high compatibility with the SDGs.
Paper clips, which are both eco-friendly and practical, are ideal as merchandise for novelties. This time, we will introduce a new product utilizing this fiber paper.
Characteristics of fiber paper
The fiber paper we use is a traditional material developed over 100 years ago, primarily made from cellulose fibers.
Cellulose is a plant-derived material commonly used in the production of regular ‘paper’ as well.
The manufacturing process of fiber paper is unique, involving the gelatinization of cellulose fibers’ surface, followed by lamination, compression, and rehardening, resulting in hardness and other properties that are unattainable with ordinary paper.
Furthermore, it also possesses ‘biodegradability,’ making it a material expected to address environmental issues such as reducing microplastics as an alternative to synthetic plastics.
A bookmark with letters and flowers made of fiber paper
Under the theme of ‘Creating a New World with Paper,’ we produced bookmarks by cutting out letters from black fiber paper.
We pay close attention to ensuring the overall coherence and strength of the text while preserving the impression of the font, under the theme of ‘Creating a New World with Paper.’ Moreover, since it can accommodate various fonts and texts, it is also recommended as an item featuring famous quotes from great figures or lines from comics.
We also introduce bookmarks with flowers made of red and yellow fiber paper. Through laser cutting, even very fine lines such as the tips of leaves and the outlines of flowers are faithfully reproduced.
Ordinary paper would become floppy with such fine lines, but fiber paper maintains its shape without bending or sagging due to its weight.
Pet accessories made of fiber paper
A necklace cut from white fiber paper with the name ‘Charlie’ engraved on it. It’s actually named after a staff member’s pet. We attached a pearl chain to create it as a pet accessory.
The vibrant pearls against the matte white fiber paper exude a sense of cleanliness and elegance. It’s fun to add to your pet’s style by wearing it during special occasions like pet photo shoots.
With a history of over 100 years, fiber paper, being biodegradable, has been reevaluated for its value and usefulness as an eco-friendly material. In addition to the bookmarks and accessories introduced this time, it seems that various other products could also be developed. If you have any ideas, please feel free to contact us.
